The main difference between now and 1913, there were conductors who collected the fares, and the driver only drove. Also, today, traffic signals and traffic congestion slows the speed of streetcars.
I had always wondered where the ‘retro’ look of the ‘new’ Bloor-Yorkville streetlights came from. Evidently, it was a design from Toronto, a century or more ago….
Hey Steve they need to bring back the back porch on streetcars. Looks like you can get an extra 20 people on that way.
