Where Is My Streetcar: Fall-Winter 2026 Edition

This edition of “Where Is My Streetcar” begins with works from October 2026 onward.

Current diversions:

  • September 28 to October 3 at 4am:
    • Track repairs on St. Clair between Bathurst and Vaughan will require a complete replacement of streetcar service.
    • Buses will operate on 512/312 St. Clair from Gunn’s Loop to St. Clair Station streetcar platform.
  • September 21 at 9pm to October 15 at 4am:
    • 501/301 Queen cars divert via Shaw and King to Roncesvalles for Toronto Hydro work on Queen Street.
    • Shuttle buses will run from Bathurst (Wolseley Loop) to Roncesvalles (Sunnysde Loop).
    • While the Queen cars are diverted to King for Hydro work in Parkdale, track repairs will occur on Queen at Brock and at Sorauren during the week of September 21 to 28.
  • September 6 to October 31:
    • 512/312 St. Clair shortened to Earlscourt Loop due to Metrolinx construction at Keele.
    • 340 Junction night bus extended east to Oakwood Loop.
    • 512B shuttle bus operates from Gunn’s Loop to Lansdowne Station.
  • August 27 to December:
    • 506 Carlton: Track & sewer replacement on College from Bay to Yonge.
  • June 7 to October 31:
    • Long Branch Loop rebuild: Streetcar service is replaced by buses from June 7 to October 31.
    • Effective September 8, 508 Lake Shore service was restored terminating at Humber Loop.
  • Ongoing:
    • 501 Queen cars divert both ways via Church, Richmond/Adelaide and York.

Pending diversions:

  • October 4: CIBC Run For The Cure
    • 505 Dundas cars divert both ways via Bathurst, Queen and McCaul from 7am to 1pm. No service on Dundas over the bypassed section.
    • 506/306 Carlton cars operate a split route from 7am to 1pm.
      • West end cars divert via Ossington, Dundas and Bathurst to Bathurst Station.
      • East end cars divert via Parliament and Dundas looping via Bay, College and McCaul.
    • 506/306 Carlton buses will divert to Bathurst Station via Queen’s Park and Bloor from 7am to 2pm. The construction diversion westbound via Yonge, Wellesley and Bay continues.
    • No service on College between Ossington and McCaul.
  • October 3:
    • 512 St. Clair streetcar service restored over the full route. The west end shuttle between Lansdowne Station and Gunn’s Loop, and the 340 Junction extension to Oakwood Loop will continue to operate until October 31.
  • October 8 to 18 (est):
  • November 2026 to Summer 2027
    • Watermain and track replacement on portions of King Street West will require a service diversion between Spadina and Roncesvalles. See King West Construction Plans: 2026-27.
    • Construction originally planned at King & York in September has been deferred to June-August 2027.
  • November 2026 to March 2027:
    • 501/301 Queen cars will divert both ways via Coxwell, Gerrard and Broadview for rail and water main reconstruction on Queen between Leslie and Vancouver (west end of Russell Carhouse, east of Greenwood).

501 Queen

  • September 21 at 9pm to October 15 at 4am
    • 501/301 Queen service will divert via Shaw and King to Roncesvalles for Toronto Hydro construction on Queen Street. Shuttle buses will run from Bathurst to Roncesvalles.
  • November 2026 to March 2027:
    • 501/301 Queen cars will divert both ways via Coxwell, Gerrard and Broadview for rail and water main reconstruction on Queen between Leslie and Vancouver (west end of Russell Carhouse, east of Greenwood).
  • The long-running diversion for Ontario Line construction at Yonge Street continues. Cars operate via Church, Richmond/Adelaide and York.

503 Kingston Road

  • Service was cut back from King & Dufferin to King & York effective November 12, 2025 looping via York, Richmond and University. Buses continue to operate on this route.

504 King

  • November 2026 to Summer 2027:
    • Watermain and track replacement on portions of King Street West will require a service diversion between Spadina and Roncesvalles. See King West Construction Plans: 2026-27.
    • Construction originally planned at King & York in September has been deferred to June-August 2027.

505 Dundas

  • October 4, 2026 from 7am to 1pm: CIBC Run for the Cure:
    • 505 Dundas cars divert both ways via Bathurst, Queen and McCaul from 7am to 1pm. No service on Dundas over the bypassed section.

506 Carlton

  • September to December, 2026: Phase 3 of track and sewer reconstruction. Streetcars divert via Dundas Street with replacement bus service on College between Spadina and Broadview.
  • October 4, 2026 CIBC Run for the Cure:
    • 506/306 Carlton cars operate a split route from 7am to 1pm.
      • West end cars divert via Ossington, Dundas and Bathurst to Bathurst Station.
      • East end cars divert via Parliament and Dundas looping via Bay, College and McCaul.
    • 506/306 Carlton buses will divert to Bathurst Station via Queen’s Park and Bloor from 7am to 2pm. The construction diversion westbound via Yonge, Wellesley and Bay continues.
    • No service on College between Ossington and McCaul.

507 Long Branch

  • Long Branch Loop will be rebuilt through the summer and fall. Streetcars replaced with buses until October 31.

508 Lake Shore

  • Service suspended west of Humber Loop for reconstruction at Long Branch until October 31.

509 Harbourfront

  • No current diversions.

510 Spadina

  • No current diversions.

511 Bathurst

  • No current diversions.

512 St. Clair

  • October 3: 512 St. Clair streetcar service restored over the full route. The west end 512B shuttle between Lansdowne Station and Gunn’s Loop, and the 340 Junction extension to Oakwood Loop will continue to operate until October 31.
  • September 6 to October 31, 2026:
