Was there a tail track in the Runnymede Loop? Looks like two tracks in the photo. In which compass direction is the photo taken?
Steve: No, the tail track was out on Dundas Street. There were also a pair of tracks on Runnymede under the CPR, but they were never connected to anything. They were intended as leads to a never-built Runnymede Carhouse. There is light snow on the ground, and some tracks in it from bus tires which may be confusing what you see.
Also, note that there is both streetcar and trolley coach overhead. This photo was taken at the end of the streetcar service.
