Connaught looking N to Queen
This view looks north to Queen on Connaught showing the point where the “crossover” described above connects into the southbound track. This switch is a source of unnecessary noise for all southbound moves on this track. Note the condition of the concrete showing that this area has been ground down to avoid derailments due to low track. This section is clearly due for replacement, and the opportunity should be taken to remove the crossover and associated switches further north.
