The approved comment odometer rolled over to 40,000 today with an observation from Robert Wightman.

A big “thank you” to everyone who has been contributing their thoughts to this site over the years. Some of you are more prolific than others, some of you just lurk in the shadows, some I meet when they say hello on the subway, some are mysteriously “out there” in the ether.

A dinner party that never seems to end — even if some guests don’t know when it’s time to leave!

An equal part of the quality of this blog is not your content Steve, it comes from many of the commenters for sure, as so many of them are thoughtful, detailed with their experiences and knowledge from others parts of the world, not just our City. So cheers indeed! – and let’s hope that the varied politicians and credit rating agencies also read this content.

  7. Steve, Congratulations on yet another milestone! I guess that I have to count myself as a “lurker” of late. I have been “forced” to remain on the sidelines of late. My employer (TTC) “counselled” (censured and censored) me about my social media activity – mostly regarding my Twitter activity. Unfortunately, my activity on this blog was mentioned and the TTC was “concerned” about some of my comments made here. I have discovered that TTC actively monitors its employees social media activities and will “talk” to them if they are displeased with the employee’s comments and posts on social media.

    Steve: Thanks on the belated congrats. As for the TTC and censorship, well, people ask me why I don’t want to work for them …
